What We Do

Classics 4 Kids is a 501c3 organization that has been educating San Diego County students since 1994. We focus on music education as a tool to address educational inequities. Our programs bring critical music education to TK to 6th-grade students with an emphasis on underresourced communities. Last season, we reached over 40,000 students, teachers, and families across 249 schools. Nearly 27,000 of these students were from Title 1 (low-income) elementary schools.

Classics 4 Kids programs are open to all students, teachers and families regardless of socio-economic status although we prioritize outreach to low-income and disadvantaged youth.

Classics 4 Kids is committed to include music by Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and female classical composers on every program it produces.

Classics 4 Kids promise is to provide high quality professional music and arts education to elementary students and families in San Diego County. Combining academic disciplines with music and building audiences of the future. Classics 4 Kids has particular outreach to low-income schools and communities that lack access to high quality music and arts programming.

Classics 4 Kids continuously evaluates the quality and impact of our education programs to ensure that we accomplish objectives and meet the changing needs of our diverse students and teachers.
